Check the garment care label before washing. Wash inside out on a gentle cycle in cool water, or hand wash, with a mild detergent. No bleach. Do not wring or twist. Dry flat or hang in the shade, away from direct sunlight. Iron inside out on a low-to-medium setting, or steam.
Wash separately from darker colours to keep the ivory white. Steam the pleats rather than pressing hard, and store hung by the waist.
